The Scottish Poetry Library is one of three poetry libraries in the UK and can be found in the centre of Edinburgh, on the Royal Mile. As described on their website, as well as 'providing a unique national resource centre of recognised excellence for poetry', the Scottish Poetry Library aims to 'enable as wide an audience as possible to access the pleasures and benefits of poetry' and to 'engage with the national and international community, building a worldwide audience for Scottish poetry, and building an audience for international poetry in Scotland'. Maryhill Integration Network (MIN) is based in Greater Maryhill, the North West Area of Glasgow, and 'brings communities together through, art, social, cultural and educational groups and projects, offering people a chance to learn new skills, meet new people, share experiences and take part in worthwhile activities to improve their communities. MIN works in partnership to develop projects and services that meet the needs of the local community. The Welcoming Association 'supports refugees and migrants in Edinburgh, helping Scotland to benefit from the diversity, experience and talents that they bring'. They offer English classes and many other activities and classes free of charge to help refugees and migrants 'discover Scottish culture, make friends, and share ideas, skills and interests'.
